Commander surprises ZAF unit on operation

ZAMBIA Air Force (ZAF) commander Colin Barry last week braved the rains to surprise No. 15 Air Defence Unit on an outdoor operation in Kasama.


Lieutenant-General Barry said the visit underscored the importance of outdoor operations in enhancing ZAF’s strategic capabilities and operational readiness.

“I am honoured to witness the incredible dedication and professionalism demonstrated by our personnel during this outdoor operation,” he said.
“It is here, in the field, that we validate our training, test our equipment, and hone the skills necessary to face the diverse challenges that may arise.”
Lt-Gen Barry highlighted the role of outdoor operations in showcasing ZAF’s strategic mobility and flexibility.
